Overpriced. December 29, 2008 SporkOfDeath (W-S, north carolina United States) This is a lovely palette that immediately fell apart when I received it. The pots are all too small for what you pay, the compact thing is cardboard and foil and the skull fell off five minutes into inspecting the kit ( I hadn't even gotten to try anything on yet!). I love urban decay, don't get me wrong and cardboard and metallic paper is green and all but they do make biodegradeable plastic that would have held up a lot better and been just as pleasant to look at. P.S. If you buy a palette where one of the eyeshadows has glitter in it, all the other samples get infected with the glitter and there's no getting rid of it.
Love it! November 6, 2008 A. Smith (New Jersey, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was the first UD shadow palette that I ever purchased. My best friend had one and I used it before we went out one night. I was so impressed that I went out and bought myself one. My favorite shades are the three neutrals on the bottom and I've almost used them all up. I use all three together and they make my blue eyes pop. The other shades are great, too! I use the black "oil slick" shade with my eyeliner brush in place of eyeliner and it works well! The shadow doesn't crease even after a 10 hour workday and I have oily skin. The shades aren't sheer and they look the same color on me as they do in the package. This is great palette and a good way to try the brand.
Pretty on the outside... September 14, 2008 Sattva 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a makeup artist and I like to try everything new, especially in provocative or flashy boxes. This product turned out to be pure provocation. The pink skull caught my attention, the shades were engaging, so I bought it on a whim (the brand isn't exactly usable by professionals) and tried it on myself (I do it all the time to know what I put on faces of other people). Bare facts: the grinding of pigments is very coarse, the glitter added to the shades is suitable only to be viewed from large distances (and I doubt it would look good even then), and - the most important thing - the product felt itchy on my skin. I had to wash it off 30 secs after applying it. My opinion: I will never use it on anybody and will never buy any Urban Decay shadows again. Even on a whim. Even if I like the design of their boxes. Money wasted and the mood ruined. It's my personal opinion and as such is subjective. If it does not produce any allergy on you, the better for you. But I would not recommend this product for anything else than toying with its cute box.

I love this...There are so many wonderful colors and textures. The color goes from sheer to deeply pigmented depending on the color. I love how much you get. You get enough to last a while and the case it comes in is so useful, it's a metal box thing. I will be buying this again, gifts, and for myself. BUT these do have noticeable glitter, so I would say if you're over 30 or trying to look professional don't expect this to work for you.
