A pretty decent set of headphones February 7, 2010 Wendy Bauer Epstein I've had QC2s for about 3 years now, and overall, I have to say that I am pretty satisfied with them. The noise cancellation is EXCELLENT, and they are by far the most comfortable pair of headphones you could ever wear. However, they do have quite a few faults. While I have never been extremely dissatisfied by this, the quality of the bass is not as high as you would expect for $400- I get better bass out of my $80 wear around headphones. Which brings me to the next problem- with a price-tag like this, you shouldn't need a pair of wear around headphones. The fact is, you really can't wear these headphones outside of the house, the car or the plane. These are not the headphone you take to go for a run, or walk your dog, or even walk across the street in. And theres a few reasons for that. By far the most annoying is that whenever you make a sudden movement, or touch the side of the headphones, the sound stops. Which means if you're ever wearing these lying down, you had better keep your head perfectly straight, or they're not gonna work. Besides not being able to wear them around because of that odd flaw, they also do not sit securely on your head. Yes, they are very comfortable, but odds are, you will find yourself readjusting these a lot. And lastly, like has been said before, these things are FRAGILE. The headband on my last pair (I'm on my third) snapped from literally just sitting in the overhead compartment of the plane. Inside the hard case. Inside of a padded backpack. That really just shouldn't happen. But, as you can see, I did give them 4 stars, and after my first two pairs broke, I went back and got a third pair. Why? Simply because for travel, or for trying not to disturb the family while sitting on the couch watching TV, there is simply nothing better. The sound quality besides the bass is absolutely stunning, and they really are the most comfortable thing in the world. (I can honestly say Ive put them on just for the sake of enjoying wearing them - not to cancel out sound or listen to music. Its like a blanket for your head.) In short I would reccomend these to anyone except for those who refuse to buy an additional pair of walk around headphones, or people who are expecting bass like that of Monster's 'Beats by Dre' headphones.
Cracks, and no fixes January 17, 2010 Norman C. Sweet (Centreville, VA) I've owned my QC2's for almost 4 years. Sound quality is superb, and now I'm addicted to them for airline travel. However, one has to only google QC2 Repairs (I've attached one link, of many, below) to find their critical flaw - the plastic above the earpieces holding the adjusters in their sleeves cracks/crumbles, so the earpiece just dangles there, rendering them useless. And there is no fix. This happened to mine about the 3 yr point, even keeping them in their case whenever not in use. Under warranty they replace them, outside warranty they offer to sell you QC3's or 15's. I did get the QC15's and they look like the same (flawed) design. Unless they've reinforced the plastic, this will continue to be Bose' headphones Achilles heel. These otherwise outstanding headphones just aren't worth the price if they can't stay on your head. Caveat emptor.

High Price - Low Quality November 29, 2009 BTooz (Chicago,USA) As others have stated, these headphones fall apart with even casual use. My wife and I both had these headphones and the head band cracked and fell apart on both of them. Bose wants to charge a high price, but they don't back it up with quality. Stay away from Bose.
Bose Noise-Cancelling Headphones November 7, 2009 Waldrep (Hawaii) These were purchased for a trip out of the country. They couldn't have been a better purchase! I used them for the long plane ride and they did a great job of cancelling out the surrounding noise. I highly recommend them.
Useless October 29, 2009 P. Maelen 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
These headphones are completely useless. The main reason people buy BQC2 is because they should block out noise but in my opinion they block out almost nothing. Lower level sound diminshes a bit but you have to turn the phones on and off a couple of times to hear the contrast. There is no "magic" here. I did not realise for a long time that they worked and was ready to throw them out. The sound they produce is nothing really to mention since it is pretty standard, the build quality is whatever and the comfort ok I guess.
Why do people say these headphones are so great and that the outside world fades away when you use them? It makes me think some people are retarded and give great reviews just because they want to be positive in life and happy with the product they have wanted for a long time. The BQC2 are simply useless and even more a waste of space than the money.
I have friends who have wanted these headphones but could not afford them and obviously when they ask me about them I'll say: " They are SO awesome! Man they're great. So glad I bought them! Expensive yes, but well worth it...!"
Believe me they are useless
