1 out of 5 stars Great Sound, But They Fall Apart...   July 3, 2009
Scott Miller (Fort Worth, TX USA)
I was happy with the headphones until the plastic on the headband started cracking and fell apart. I'm extremely carefull with them and they have had very light use. From what I've discovered reading other reviews, it's a common problem and appears to be poor quality plastic and a bad design. Bose will replace them for $100. But after investing $300 and expecting these to last many years, I'm going to cut my loses. No more Bose headphones for me. I told the Bose representative that I planned to wrap duct tape on the headphones to help hold them together and explain to everyone I see why I had to do this, and he really didn't seem to care. I wouldn't buy these headphones as there are other options out there.

4 out of 5 stars Bose quite comfort headphones   June 30, 2009

Positives: Great sounding product, very good fit,
Negatives; high price, cheap plastics hope it lasts longer than 2 years
unlike my prevous version

5 out of 5 stars cool headphones   June 28, 2009
James N. Hare (New Fairfield, CT)
It really is amazing when you put these on first, and then flip the switch and see how much noise is gone. Not a perfect silence like for the neighbor's lawn mower where you can still hear it but muffled considerably.

1 out of 5 stars Don't bite!   June 27, 2009

I bought these for use with cell phone, so I bought the cell phone kit, too. I did my research, read the Bose site, called the Bose rep to discuss my need, went to the Bose store so I could talk directly to the sales guy and be sure I was getting what I needed. Even though the sound was far from the best, I needed both the noise canceling and the ability to participate in conference calls when in noisy situations. The various plugs come with a little chart (virtually useless) of which end goes with which phone. It also had a toll-free number to get help. I couldn't get any end to work with my fairly new model BlackBerry. The guy on the toll-free support argued with me when I told him what came with the instuctions even though I had the whole mess right in front of me. He finally figured out that none of the ends will work and none are available. Then he proceeded to blame me for not telling anybody what brand of phone I have. Yeah, the vaunted customer service of Bose--it's the customer's fault. I told him I had explained my need to all the Bose folks along the way and nobody told me this mattered or asked me about my phone. But he wouldn't get off that it was my fault. I returned the whole mess and complained to Bose about my treatment. That was over a month ago, and true to the customer service standard exhibited by the support (not) guy on the phone, I have never heard any response from Bose. I had always heard that Bose was mostly hype--now I know.

4 out of 5 stars Good quality for a fair price   June 22, 2009

These are good headphones for the price and the noise is greatly reduced from the outside. I object only to the weight of the headphones a bit but I knew that when I bought them. What you give up in weight you gain in the great sound. I did forget to turn off the button on the side and ran the battery out so you must get used to that. These are the usual great BOSE quality so I am pleased.
