to let everyone know that this product is truly BPA Free! The bottle is 5 PP and the cap is 5 PP. I was hesitant to order this bottle as many products on Amazon have been tagged BPA free by Amazon customers and they are not BPA free.
As for the performance of the bottle, there has been not one leak. When I first get a water bottle I fill it with water, shake it up, give it a squeeze, and turn it upside down just because I do not like surprise leaks on the road. This bottle gets a A+ for leak protection.
As for the design, this bottle looks more "boyish" than the other Hip Sips bottles. However, it does come with a bracelet and rhinestones that you can incorporate or not. Also, at the top of the bottle, which is not visible in the photo, the plastic is shaped into a flower design. My son has no issues with it but I felt I would mention it to others out there.
Finally, the free Sharpie marker that is included with the bottle is placed in a thin plastic bag inside the bottle. After removing the marker the smell lingers for awhile. I had to wash the bottle several times to get the smell out. Unfortunately, it is the nature of plastic to retain smells for quite a long time.
All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase!
