Product Description You never thought it would turn out like this - an all-out chase where you're both the hunted and the hunter. Now you must get behind the wheel and risk everything to infiltrate a ruthless international crime syndicate and take them down. The man you're after is a maniac behind the wheel, and he's driving like his life depends on escape, which maybe it does. He's the one with all the answers you need, so track him down. That fleet of police cruisers in your rearview mirror won't make things any easier. It will take all of your experience?and every ounce of skill?to outrun the law, take down the enemy, and unlock the truth that puts an end to this chase once and for all.

Need for Video Card January 2, 2009 Sandeep P. Kapadia 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Alright, first of all I have NFS Underground, Most Wanted, Prostreet, and now Undercover all on the PC. There appears to be some conflict if you have installed Prostreet and Undercover on the PC. Once you install Undercover, you WILL NOT be able to play Prostreet. But thanks to the NFS EA forum website, there is some changes you have to do to the Registry. Not difficult, but EA should fix this. Should you buy the game...Yes. Only if you have a really good video card. Mine is 512mb Nvidia (had to upgrade the computer to even play Prostreet), and bought it last year. But my computer is about 5 years old, and still the game lags. If you liked Most Wanted, you'll definitely like this game. The missions are easy, but evading the cops can be tricky at times, especially if your car has a lot of heat. Once you begin you can press Tab for a new mission or you can go to the map directly and select which ever mission you want. This means if you want to complete the game within 1 week, you can, because you can skip the regular missions and go directly to the missions which are important. So that was a dissappointment. Comparing this to Most Wanted, still I would say MW is better then Undercover. The online play is great, again provided you meet the requirements, and absolutely, postively you have a really good video card, otherwise, don't even get the game. Cops and Robbers is fun, but you need at least 4 people to play, and since your on a PC, theres usually very few people. The overall graphics are good, and for the first time, when you reverse, you can actually see the entire car, especially when doing a J-turn or a 360, thats good. Driving on the freeways was good, but its easy to lose the cops especially when you have a fast car, like a Bugatti, which can do 250mph easily. Overall I would give this game 8/10. Most Wanted 10/10 easily, no doubts about it.
not as fun as i thought January 2, 2009 Gregory M. Cross not first off its a fun game but a little boaring. now i havent beat it yet so dont hold me to this review. but the start is so so. i liked mostwanted the best sofar. and a little added note unless u got a bitc..in computer dont get it for pc because u have to play it in low quality and it feels like ur playing a playstation 1 game. go console unless ur computer is way above the requiremints.
Bad game! December 30, 2008 Paul K. Ramsay 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Im a NFS fan and i was realy looking foward for this game, and because they never made a demo, soo I bought it for the wii, what a nightmare, graphics are BAD!!! and the cars are hard to control, soo I did some research and found out the one for the pc had way better graphics and different story than the wii, so i went and bouth that one, And yes its true it had grate graphics( my pc: 2.4ghz core2 quad , 8GB RAM , Nvidia 9400GT 1GB) but everything else stincks!! I miss the menu of the old NFS games, the music!!! suckssssss , lame police chases! ,stupid AI ,bad ripoff storyline. People the thing with this is that you need a realy strong PC to run at good graphics but i just cant play it, its just bad. your better of just playing NFS Carbon or MostWanted
Atari 2600 Pole Position is more fun and better graphics! December 26, 2008 William Eisenhauer (Tigard, OR) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a piece of garbage! This thing barely runs at all, the most clippiest piece of junk ever dumped out of EA. The graphics stink, NFS:Underground runs just fine on my rig, I can play most MMORPGS at full maxed out graphics capabilities, but I can't get even a decent frame rate without clips at even 640X480 on a P4with 2GBs and a ATI 9800 with all settings at minimum on this garbage. Its only saving grace is that it actually detected the MOMO Racing wheel correctly on the first try, but it still plays like you are driving a Toyota Prius on ice with a manual transmission that randomly downshifts to first gear for no reason whatsoever. Its like the cops have a magic "downshift ray" they beam at your car to cut your speed. Anyways a complete waste of time and effort, at least pole position doesn't clip and you can actually "control" the car.
NON STOP FUN December 15, 2008 insoc (Miami, Florida United States) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is not a driving simulator game. This is just a VERY FUN GAME. I played it with my Momo Force Feedback wheel and set the camera to no car show (just the street) and this got to be one of the most intense games I have ever played amd I actually felt like I was there at 100mph being chased my the police. I don't remember being as happy playing a game, it's like I was back in the 80s when I played arcade games like Outrun. This may not be a simulator but I bet you will have more fun playing this than any serious simulator.
