Black & Decker's VersaPak tools are great for the homeowner, and to keep them running, you'll want some spare batteries. Some advantages to these include their freedom from "memory," which keeps you from getting a full recharge and the fact that you'll get at least 300 full recharges on each battery. They'll power all the 3.6-volt VersaPak tools, including the ScumBuster and screwdrivers. Of course, once you buy a VersaPak tool, you don't have a choice of batteries, but we've found these to be reliable and well able to power the 3.6-volt VersaPak line.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

I needed these batteries for my Dust Buster cordless vacuum as well as my Black & Decker cordless drill and screw driver. Having these tools for years, I already knew that the batteries are of high quality and last a long time. The reason for this review is purely the price: purchasing these batteries on Amazon saved me more than 50% over the cost of the same batteries at Walmart, Home Depot and Lowes. If I didn't get these batteries at the price I paid at Amazon, I would have been forced to discard three perfectly good tools! Thank you so much.

B&D tools using the VersaPak batteries are convenient and versatile. While certainly not the best tools available, they are relatively low in cost, perform adequately, and the replacement batteries are widely available.
